The causes of toothache, you might not know are numerous. Well, before you get that appointment with a dentist, make sure to try this few tips/tricks, for relief pending your dentist appointment.
Dear Fave,

Though thought to be the stronger gender- strength wise, it is really rare (m
ore so sad) to see a grown man cry, but that is what a poor hygiene (as that is what this about), can do to a full grown man. No gender inequality in this health issue.
If you have never had a tooth ache then you cannot understand the feeling, nope this is not one of those that can be explained to you, because it does hurt a lot.
Oral hygiene is related to the water you use, make sure you check the
water composition of the area you reside it, as this varies from place to place and can tell you if it has the sufficient fluoride amount necessary, and explains the dark coloration of most peoples teeth aside smoking and other factors alike.

A toothache simply is a pain around a tooth and due to its intensity, regardless of your pain threshold can affect your daily activities like eating, drinking and sleep. The first signs usually is of a pain which is sensed when anything too hot, cold or sweet is consumed.
For a non medical practitioner this term toothache could be quite general so I would break it down to the many reasons which could be causing your toothache;
Tooth decay, Tooth or gum abscess, Receding gums, Tooth grinding, Wisdom teeth eruption, Sinusitis, A broken tooth and Filling.
Very severe this pain can be and I’ll not advise you use any painkillers due to the contemplation of side effects. It is wise to see a dentist soon, but while you wait, try this few natural remedies before your appointment below.
Lukewarm water with salt
This magic, works wonders on the entire oral cavity, rinsing out the bacteria that causes infections in the mouth, It works by reducing any inflammation.
Add 1 tablespoon of table salt to a glass of warm water and use it as a mouthwash. As often as possible.
Honey
No wonder, is this my favorite natural remedy. With more than 40% relief effect than other medications you can use honey alone or mixed as discussed further below.
Apply honey directly to the source of pain and leave. Honey fights inflammation, destroys viruses (which is why it is a great flu/cold remedy, read more here) it accelerates the regeneration of tissues damaged.
Onion
It is a known fact that onion is a great antimicrobial and antiseptic spice, with various uses. It immediately combats any pain when you chew on a slice, directly where you feel the pain source.
Cloves
Asides the lovely smell, cloves contain a natural anesthetic called eugenol, an antioxidant, anti-inflammatory and antibacterial spice, helps treat infections and gives tooth ache a relieve, place it directly to the site of pain and chew instantly.
Garlic
Garlic is a very powerful source of immune boosters containing a compound called allicin, simply chew a clove of crushed garlic directly at the site of pain or mix with honey or table salt and apply same. Its antibacterial properties are immediately released, you might feel a little slap on the inner mucous of the mouth (cheeks) but it works wonders.
