Dear Fave,

Today we’re celebrating a very special fave in a few sentences let’s get to meet this queen briefly. She’s a professional in two areas of life, let’s get to see how she balances her life as a medical doctor and a model, also in the line of business too, in so many words an inspiration and epitome of beauty to many, meet our feature:

  • Introduce yourself

My name is Dr. Omolade Obaniyi Adetomiwa

  • How long have you had both careers?

I’d like to think I’ve had both for more than 2...LOL. But in general, let's say 3 years. Its been 3 years now.

  • What skin challenges have you faced in your career?

Initially, when I started out as a model, I never really used the face scrubs and gels and all that face stuff, but with time my make up artist advised me that I ought to use them. Ohh yes! I started using them, then came the rashes and the spots and the pimples and the roughness for a previously happy skin. That was just the beginning, It was like so much was happening on my face at the same time. Naturally, As soon as I stopped using all the those stuffs, everything cleared up. Like immediately!

  • Views on skin color changes by bleaching today.

In my opinion, I can't say I appreciate skin bleaching and I would never encourage anyone to change their color. The question is why change the color of your skin? I love my skin tone so much. Black, for me is the most beautiful thing ever and if you’re light skinned so be it . Let's leave our skin colors the way they are and remain beautiful. Stay confident in your skin color. God has made you and It's just perfect.

  • What are the advantages your chocolate glow has given you in your career. Like Kim Kardashian had to over tan to sell her new glow-kit set.

My chocolate glow? Alot!

In Ukraine for example, there are few chocolate skinned models. Usually when I go for casting, my color is almost always an advantage. The designers are mostly interested in that, and of course, my already coutoured face, which I really do love. They always compliment that. It gives me an edge or I like to think so!

  • Beauty Secrets

I'm Team Natural and simple. My beauty secret is *Shea Butter*. Its basically underrated. For me, I use it from head to toe. It helps softens my skin with its whole moisturizing effect, maintains my skin tone and clears away scars pretty fast. My skin is on another level. I know God has blessed us with such flawless skin, but its our responsibility to take care of it and maintain it. This is important. You could also try Coconut milk, I fell in love with it recently.

  • Beauty advice

Drink water. This is my beauty advice. Drinking water is so damn good, I consciously drink water. It’s very important for your glowy skin. It keeps you hydrated, flushes out toxins etc etc etc. As A DOCTOR, I can tell you, the advantages are simply uncountable.

Maintain general hygiene. Wash your skin (face, body) thoroughly and always. A good bathing gel is important. Use good body sprays and perfumes to enhance your persona. Clean your teeth as well. You can try having chewing gums or mint on the go in your bag. Finally, eat healthy. Don't starve. Exercise as much as you can, and if you can hit the gym, even better.

  • Conclusions

Love God, put your faith to work. Break new grounds, try new things, never be idle. My motto is Philipians 2;13 “for it is God who works in you both to will and to do for His good pleasure.” ‭‭Philippians‬ ‭2:13‬ ‭NKJV‬‬ Thank you Dr. Omolade and we wish you a very happy birthday here from us at Favorite Physician.
